Some Of The Most Expensive Smartphones In The World

This article is going to take you through the most expensive smartphones in the world. There is a trend that started in the late ’90s whereby some artifacts were made ridiculously expensive.

These artifacts still [performed their basic functions like their ‘normal’ counterparts. However, they were studded with diamonds and rubies just so their values would go up.

For example, watches seemed to have lost their relevance when mobile phones began to arrive with a clock on them.

People did not see the need to wear a watch again as they could get the time on their phones. (The majority of people wear watches for the sake of it, not because it tells them the time.

Some of these watches do not even work). However, the watchmaking industry could not afford to run out of business so they started adding diamonds and precious stones to the watches to attract wealthy people who would want to buy something that most people cannot afford.

That trend now seems to have siphoned into the phone industry. We will be looking at some of the most expensive phones in the world in this article.

Popular Phones Mostly Used in Ghana

This article will walk you through all the latest phones in Ghana and their prices so you know the next phone to go for when you decide to get yourself a new smartphone.

In today’s world, the use of smartphones has become a huge necessity. However, the majority of people do not just need a phone.

They need a smartphone that can access the internet and work fast, and that is what they go to the various phone shops to purchase.

Most people have even become addicted to their smartphones to the extent that they are seen using them almost every minute of the day.

There are a lot of smartphone brands that have become very popular in Ghana at the moment.

Wherever you go, it is not surprising to see people using mobile phones made by these brands.

Most of these are budget smartphones that most people can purchase, while others are expensive high-end smartphones that cost a plot of land (i know you know we are talking about android and iPhones).
In this article, we have compiled some of the most popular smartphone brands in Ghana. So let’s get to it.

    Samsung

You can no way live in Ghana and boldly say that you have not seen anyone with a Samsung smartphone. Then it is either you are still an infant, or you are not actually in Ghana.

Samsung is one of the most popular smartphone brands in Ghana, and if you are looking for the brand that always brings the latest phones in Ghana, then Samsung is one brand that is known to be feeding its users around the world with the latest phones.

Every corner of the country has people who own a Samsung gadget.

Due to Samsung phones having an extensive array of smartphones on the market, it has made it possible for people of all financial strengths to get their hands on a smartphone.

Don’t even try to count the number of Samsung smartphone models on the market at the moment.

You might end up with a headache because there are many Samsung Galaxy phones that you will even find challenging to choose from.

There are Samsung smartphones that you can have for as little as GHS 300. However, if you think you made enough money from the recent gig you did and need something you can flex with, Samsung can gladly sell you a phone that costs more than GHS 2000.

    Apple

Together with Samsung, Apple is also one of the most popular smartphone brands in Ghana and the whole world.

Most people who see themselves as having made it in life mostly go for an iPhone when they feel the need to buy a brand new phone.

iPhones are also probably the most expensive smartphones in Ghana because the phone boasts of having the best camera and being the best phone to use if you value your privacy.

GHS 500 will possibly get you an iPhone 5, while you will need more than GHS 5000 if you want the latest phones such as the Apple iPhone 11 and iPhone 12.

There has been a never-ending debate between iPhone and Android on which one is the best phone to use, we have an article ending that debate, you can check it out.

    Infinix

Infinix has made its way into the industry since its arrival and is now regarded as one of the best affordable phones to have when you are on a budget.

Aside from this, Infinix phones are considered one of the best smartphones that come with a good battery and can be used for days without charging compared to the other smartphones.

Infinix is owned by the company that sued to hold Tecno, which sort of makes them mobile siblings.

However, that does not stop them from having real competition in the Ghanaian market. Anyone with a budget of GHS 500 can get a decent Infinix smartphone.

One of my favorite Infinix series is the Note series, you can read about their new Note 8 phone here.

    Tecno

Tecno follows Infinix in terms of popularity in the Ghanaian mobile industry. The android mobile smartphone brand has grown decently since its inception in the Ghanaian market.

This is because they have one of the most affordable smartphones in Ghana, and this helps contribute to their popularity as almost anyone can purchase a smartphone from them.

Although it may not have the best features found on Samsung phones and Apple, it is still one of the best smartphones out there that you can get if you are on a budget.

Tecno just released a new smartphone which is the Spark 7, and we have an article covering everything you need to know about the Tecno Spark 7.

    Itel

Certainly not one of the most popular at the moment, but they are certainly getting there. Itel is mainly known for its budget smartphones. With as low as GHS 300, you can get a brand new Itel smartphone.

Don’t expect to get all the features you will find on a Samsung or Apple for that price. But you will undoubtedly get the basics, which matters in the long run.

    Huawei

Huawei has become relatively popular in Ghana and can be ranked alongside Tecno in terms of popularity. However, Huawei phones seem to be a bit above Tecno in regards to their overall performance.

Their phones are also a bit more expensive than Tecno smartphones. Huawei also has a massive presence in the global market, unlike Tecno.

In Ghana, they have made a mark as a fair number of people use Huawei mobile smartphones.

    Nokia

Nokia has been in Ghana for decades now, and they are still one of the most famous smartphone makers in the country. As a result, Nokia can be likened to a legend in Ghana in the mobile industry.
It is safe to say that most people are well aware and have seen the smartphone brands mentioned in this article. The names mentioned above are the most popular smartphone brands in Ghana.

There are undoubtedly other brands in the market that were not discussed here because they are not that popular. These are brands whose presence can be felt almost anywhere, especially in phone shops.

    Conclusion

There are plenty of smartphones making their way on the market, we even see more Chinese brands like Poco Xiaomi and many more bringing in new phones with extraordinary features.

We hope soon, we will be writing about them just like how we have been talking about Samsung, iPhone, and Infinix phones.

In this article, we went through the latest phones in ghana, their prices, and why you should get each one of them if you are looking for the following phone to use.

We hope you guys enjoyed today’s article. Please keep visiting this site for more technological enlightenment.

  • IOS vs Android: Differences, And Similarities Between The Most Popular Mobile Operating Systems

IOS vs Android: Differences, And Similarities Between The Most Popular Mobile Operating Systems

Since time immemorial, there has been a debate going on between Android and IOS mobile operating systems. In Ghana, this debate has reached a head, and the discussion seems to be about Samsung smartphones and Apple smartphones.

You are not wealthy if you are not holding a Samsung or Apple, and you mainly were looked down upon by Apple users if you have anything other than Apple. To most of these Apple users, the mobile price makes them think that it is better than any other mobile in the world. We will get to the debate between Samsung and Apple later. For now, let us focus on the Android vs. IOS battle.

Android and IOS are both mobile operating systems that are used on mobile devices. In this article, we will be looking at their similarities as well as their differences.

    IOS

This is an operating system that was developed by Apple Inc to be used in mobile devices. The IOS is used strictly in devices that are made by Apple alone. In other words, Apple does not allow any other person to use the IOS operating system except their own.

The IOS is used as the operating system in all Apple mobile products such as the iPhone, iPod, and iPad. The IOS has an architecture that is layered and contains intermediate layers between applications and hardware so that they don’t communicate with each other directly.

The lower layers are responsible for the essential services, while the upper layers are responsible for the user interface.

    Android

The Android operating system was created by Google to be used in mobile devices, and it is based on the Linux kernel. It was mainly designed for touchscreen devices such as smartphones and tablets.

Unlike IOS, You can find Android on several mobile devices from different manufacturers. This means that the Android operating is not restricted to one mobile manufacturer like the IOS is.

    IOS vs Android Similarities

Now let us take a look at the similarities between the two operating systems.
The primary functions of the two operating systems are similar. They both have tasks like calling, web browsing, maps, video chat, voice commands, and messaging.

    • Both Android and IOS support tapping, pinch, and zoom. The latest edition of IOS also now has swiping, which is a function that has been on Android for some time now.
    • The operating systems have a status bar that keeps important things like time, app notifications, battery life, wifi, and others.
    • Both IOS and Android also support the 4G cellular network since that is needed before using a smartphone to browse the internet.
    • One of the things that are taken very seriously by both Android and IOS is that of privacy. Users can either permit or refuse an app with specific permissions. This helps to prevent the leakage of personal data from the smartphone.

    IOS vs Android Differences

Now let us take a look at the differences between Android and IOS

    • Android is a more open operating system. While IOS is a closed one. In IOS, users do not get any app permissions and cannot customize their devices. However, all these can be done on Android.
    • Android is available for other mobile manufacturers such as Samsung, Infinix, LG, etc. This could cause some problems with the quality of the operating system in much cheaper mobile phones.
    • The IOS is controlled by Apple and used in only Apple products. Due to this, there is barely any quality problem with the operating system.
    • Applications used in IOS are downloaded from the Apple app store, while those used in Android are downloaded from the Google Play store.
    • The Apple IOS can be better integrated with other devices as compared to Google Android.
In terms of voice assistants, the one used in IOS, known as Siri, is less powerful than the one found in Android.
    • Android performance may decline with time, while that of IOS is primarily consistent over time.

    Conclusion

Shown above are some of the differences and similarities between Android and IOS. However, we encourage our users to try out each operating system if possible, and draw their own conclusions.

Before you scroll down to read the next one, why don’t you take a look at the best mobile app to reduce video size quality without losing its quality.

A Look At Some Samsung Galaxy Note Series And Their Prices In Ghana

Samsung is regarded as one of the best smartphone manufacturers in the world. In Ghana, most people do not respect your smartphone if it is not made by either Apple or Samsung.

Samsung has produced several series of phones which have a long line of models each. In this article, we will be looking at the Galaxy Note series from the first Note model to the last.

    Galaxy Note

The Galaxy Note was the first model spawned in 2011 in the long Note line. Samsung was able to ship a whopping 10 million units when it was released.

It came with an Android 2.3 which could be updated to 4.1 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor for North America while other nations were given the Exynos 4210 processor.

It had a 5.3” HD display, which was one of the largest at the time, along with its stylus.

    Galaxy Note 2

Unveiled in 2012, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was able to sell over 3 million units within the first 3 months of its release.

It had a curvier and more ergonomic design and was slimmed down in some places to avoid making it look big.

It also came with the stylus pen found in the original Galaxy Note. This was also the first phone with a split-screen feature that allowed you to use two apps at the same time with one app on top and the second show at the bottom.

You could also view content by simply hovering the s pen over where the content was.

This proved to be a hit as Samsung could sell 10 million units in the first 2 months. The S-pen also came with a new feature which was known as the S menu which showed the shortcut for most applications. It was the first phone with a RAM of 3GB.

It had a much faster processor compared to the previous models and had an all-glass body with an emphasis on ergonomics.

It was the first note model which did not have a removable battery and eliminated the memory card slot, which was a bad idea.

The spring-load S-pen assembly could also break if it was inserted the wrong way (mine suffered this flaw). Despite all these, note 5 still managed to break the series’ sales record.

    Galaxy Note 7

The number 6 was skipped in favor of reaching the number 7 early as Samsung launched the note 7.

It was the first mobile with a USB-c connecter. The memory card slot also returned with note 7.

The S-pen on Note 7 came with some amazing features such as translation, screen magnifier, and could record GIFs as well.

The note 7 could also be used for making payments with the iris scanner which came with the Samsung pass.

The pre-order demand in South Korea was higher than expected. There were however reports of the phone sometimes overheating and then catching fire and exploding.

Due to this, its production was discontinued barely 2 months later. There was however a refurbished model that came out later and was called the Note 7 fan edition.

These had smaller batteries and a host of safety features.

It also had a dedicated key for Bixby virtual assistant. A screen-off memo allowed users to write notes on the locked screen.

The S-pen was now upgraded to be able to control the phone remotely. Both phones had a 16MP ultra-wide and dual-aperture primary with telephoto lenses.

The phones also were the first to feature the Infinity O display and cut out a camera. There was also a version, the Note 10 lite, which cut down on processors and specs.
